Pastor David Washington, Jr.
Founding & Lead Pastor, Canton Christian Fellowship
Pastor David Washington Jr. has served in ministry for over 30 years and has faithfully pastored for 25 years. In November 2000, he founded Canton Christian Fellowship in Canton, Michigan, where he continues to serve as Lead Pastor. The son of the late Reverend David Washington Sr. and Elizabeth Washington, Pastor Washington preaches and teaches without apology the unadulterated Word of God.
A visionary leader, Pastor Washington carries a deep passion for pioneering, church planting, and developing and deploying leaders for Kingdom impact. In addition to pastoring, he is a certified life coach and the founder of Transformed Lives Ministries—a ministry dedicated to transformation through coaching, consulting, communications, and radio outreach. He also leads CoreShift Coaching & Consulting, LLC, where he serves as an executive coach, consultant, and trainer for leaders in both ministry and the marketplace.
Pastor Washington is a 1994 graduate of Cornerstone University with a B.A. in Marketing, earned an M.A. in Leadership from Liberty Seminary in 2008, and completed an Advanced Certificate in Doctoral Studies at Northern Seminary in 2021. He is currently a Doctor of Ministry candidate at Liberty Seminary with an expected graduation in Winter 2026.
Before full-time ministry, Pastor Washington gained professional experience as a Marketing Manager at Ford Motor Company, a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative at Eli Lilly, a Corporate Chaplain with Corporate Chaplains of America, and a Senior Leadership Consultant with FranklinCovey. These diverse experiences uniquely equip him to bridge faith and leadership in the church and community.
He is a devoted husband to the lovely Lady Mesha Washington and proud father to six wonderful adult children: Gabriella, Hannah, Faith, Joyelle, David III, and Sekai.
Known as a dynamic leader, pastor, coach, motivator, and inspirational speaker, Pastor Washington is committed to equipping believers, building leaders, and advancing the Kingdom of God.
